Downs is formerly a shareholder in the state’s largest medical malpractice and employment defense firm, Foliart Huff Ottaway & Bottom.

He has been involved in numerous successful plaintiff class action cases, as well as representing corporate and insurance defense clients.

Downs is approved trial counsel for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons National Insurance Company for both employment and malpractice cases. In addition he represents numerous other insurance companies that provide coverage to health care providers. He also represents Claremore Regional Hospital, Norman Regional Hospital, and Deaconess Hospital of Oklahoma City.
